Decorating My Fall Porch

Falling for fall.

I just finished decorating my porch for fall for the very first time ever and am so excited to show you how it turned out. Growing up, my family never decorated for holidays other than Christmas, so this is a fun fall tradition I love starting with my own kids. I wanted to keep our porch looking more autumn-inspired and less Halloweeny (although I may add some fun bats to the doorway in the very near future). The addition of this buffalo checked outdoor doormat adds a cozy touch, don’t you think?

I found a gem of a local place for outdoor plants and things — Gasko’s Family Farm in Monroe, New Jersey, which is a huge plant nursery and garden with amazing prices! Atticus and I had the best time picking out each pumpkin and colorful mums — all this for under $50! I love how we were able to find a variety of pumpkins, not just the usual orange ones. Since I’m just dipping my toes for the first time in fall porch decorating, next year I may add purple or orange hues to inject more autumn color and maybe a few purple cabbage and corn stalks for good measure. The sky’s the limit! How are you planning to decorate for fall?
